Diagnostics & Protection

Review the servo drive fault history, commanded position, actual encoder response and current demand before removing the motor. Inspect power and feedback connectors, cable shielding, coupling condition and mechanical binding.

Use the matched drive’s thermal-sensor and current-limit functions. Isolate incoming power, discharge the DC bus and confirm zero energy before testing insulation or disconnecting motor leads.

Installation & Upgrades

Verify the complete order code, shaft specification, connector orientation, feedback option and mounting pattern. Align the coupling without forcing the shaft and preserve the specified cable bend radius.

Before recommissioning, load the correct motor, encoder, commutation, current, speed and thermal settings into the compatible drive. Test direction and feedback polarity at low speed before restoring the production load.
