Functioning as a high-speed network interpreter, this electronic circuit board sits natively on the robot's internal DeviceNet bus and translates data directly into standard external PROFIBUS-DP protocol words. By handling the conversion of up to several process words, it permits the primary robot computer to seamlessly expose its digital and analog input/output states directly to plant-wide supervisory PLC networks.
