The ABB IMDSO14 is a heavy-duty, rack-mounted 16-channel digital output slave module designed to transmit discrete processing signals from an INFI 90 system backplane directly into physical plant applications. Acting as an intelligent solid-state switching actuator, this card is utilized by system control processors to toggle field machinery—including solenoid valves, alarm annunciators, visual indicators, relay coils, and motor contactors. Built with advanced electromagnetic interference (EMI) protection circuitry and high common-mode signal isolation, it reliably shields sensitive rack processing computers from dangerous voltage spikes and electrical noise on the factory floor.
