General Description

The ABB SDCS-DSL-4 is a digital signal link and communication board for the DCS800 DC drive series. It serves as the core communication and signal processing hub connecting the drive's main control unit (e.g., the AMC board) with the power section, I/O expansion boards, encoder interfaces, and other peripheral modules. Utilizing a high-speed protocol layered on CAN bus hardware, it bridges drive-to-drive architectures. This module expands control coordination by linking specialized field supplies, master-follower setups, and twelve-pulse operations directly to the central drive logic.

▹Operating Logic Power: Supplied via connection X51, delivering a steady output of 24V DC

▹Transmission Performance: Reaches data bandwidth speeds of 500 kBd

▹Bus Termination Capability: Features an onboard jumper (S1) to switch a 200 kOhm

▹Response Dynamics: Capable of executing high-speed localized data cycles with a rapid response time under 5 ms

▹Ambient Operating Temperature: Works across a standard industrial cabinet environment of 0 °C to 60 °C (32 °F to 140 °F)
