The CTI 901B-2589-A is an industrial-grade, single-wide universal discrete input module engineered to process both AC and DC voltage signals on a single hardware assembly. It is a 16-channel (configurable up to 32 points) digital input module that accepts a wide range of AC and DC voltage signals. It supports both sinking (NPN) and sourcing (PNP) field devices as well as dry contact inputs. The module is designed for use in CTI 2500 Series® or Simatic® 505 I/O bases and must be installed on a compatible I/O base with a network interface module (e.g., 901B-2001 series) for system integration.

Ø Peak On-State Input Current: Typically 2.0 mA to 5.0 mA

Ø Power Requirements: Sourced via the backplane; typical logic current draw is 150 mA at +5 VDC

Motor Control Centers (MCCs): Deployed to capture discrete real-time feedback states from heavy auxiliary contacts, starter switches, and overload relays.

Process Line Telemetry: Utilized across automotive assembly paths and packaging lines to monitor 24VDC proximity sensors, optical sorters, and 120VAC physical limit switches simultaneously.

Utility & Water Treatment Plants: Integrated inside distribution panels to process discrete inputs from level float switches, pump status lines, and emergency stop matrices.
