The Force Computers SYS68K CPU-30BE/16 is a ruggedized, legacy VMEbus CPU board designed for deterministic real-time processing, industrial automation, and military-grade embedding applications. It is built around a 16 MHz Motorola MC68030 microprocessor and includes an independent MC68882 floating-point math coprocessor to accelerate complex floating-point calculations. The board utilizes Force Computers' proprietary FGA-002 custom Gate Array chip, which minimizes component count while maximizing data throughput over the 32-bit VMEbus. It provides a comprehensive suite of onboard I/O, including multiple serial channels and a high-speed SCSI interface, making it a fully self-contained computing subsystem that operates reliably without requiring external peripheral cards.
