The Foxboro FBM218 is an 8-channel, isolated analogue output interface card built for high-integrity distributed control infrastructures. Acting as an intelligent field device host, the module outputs 8 distinct 4 to 20 mA signals, simultaneously superimposing a high-speed digital Frequency Shift Keying signal to execute bi-directional HART communication data packages. A pair of these modules integrates into a specialized baseplate to deliver Fieldbus Module level redundancy, functioning in an active Master-Tracker configuration.
