The GE IS200VTURH1BAC is a high-reliability, safety-critical processing module designed for installation into a standard 3U VME I/O rack layout. Functioning as the core primary protection interface for heavy-duty gas and steam turbines, its main responsibility is executing automated, high-speed emergency shutdowns to shield mechanical assets from catastrophic damage. The VTUR board interfaces directly with remote TRPx terminal blocks to control three primary overspeed trip relays, samples primary turbine speed data via passive magnetic pickups, and dynamically monitors induced shaft voltage and current to catch bearing insulation breakdown before failure.
