What is IS220PPROH1A ?

It’s a Backup Turbine Protection (PPRO) I/O Pack made by GE, used in their Mark VI / Mark VIe turbine control systems. 

Its job is to serve as an independent backup for functions like overspeed protection, generator synchronization, and acting as a watchdog in case the primary control fails.

1. Series / Platform: Mark VI / Mark VIe, IS200 family of GE modules.
2. Terminal board compatibility: Works with several terminal boards including: SPRO, TPRO boards, TREAH terminal boards (e.g. IS200TREAH1A, IS200SPROH1A, IS200SPROH2A etc.)
3. Ethernet ports: 2 × 10/100 Mbps ethernet ports, independent.
4. LEDs / Indicators: Has LED pairs on frontface: PWR/ATTN; LINK/TxRx & ENET1; LINK/TxRx & ENET2; also an IR port.
5. Speed ​​inputs: Accepts three speed signals: acceleration, deceleration, overspeed.
6. Wiring limits: For voltage sensing: up to 1,000 ft using 18 AWG wire.
7. Protection modes: Supports both simplex backup and TMR (Triple Modular Redundancy) for higher reliability.
