02 / FIRMWARE & CONFIGURATION

Firmware & Updates

Use the GE EnerVista 745 Setup environment to read the installed relay revision, save settings, retrieve events and review oscillography before service work.

Record the existing firmware and hardware revision first. Apply only a release approved for that exact 745 configuration, then validate protection logic and communications after transfer.

Configuration & Programming

Program transformer ratios and vector compensation, differential slopes, harmonic restraint, backup overcurrent, overexcitation, FlexLogic, port settings and IRIG-B timing from the approved protection study.

Create an offline settings archive, compare it with the commissioned file, and complete controlled secondary-injection testing before returning the relay to service.
