The TDC 3000 utilizes a hierarchical distributed architecture, primarily consisting of the following components:

1. Controllers, such as the Process Manager (PM) and Advanced Process Manager (APM), are responsible for executing control algorithms and data processing.
2. I/O Modules, including digital and analog input modules, are responsible for signal exchange with field devices.
3. Operator Stations, providing real-time monitoring and operation interfaces, and human-machine interaction.
4. Communication Networks, such as the Local Control Network (LCN) and Universal Control Network (UCN), facilitate data transmission between components.

The system supports a variety of control functions, including loop regulation, logic control, sequential control, and advanced control, meeting the automation requirements of complex processes.
