The MATROX IP-8/AT/256 is a legacy, high-performance industrial video frame grabber and imaging expansion board developed by Matrox. It functions by capturing analog video input signals from standard cameras and instantly converting them into a high-fidelity 8-bit grayscale digital image format. Equipped with onboard dynamic video memory and a dedicated processing layout, the hardware manages real-time image buffering and data transfer across legacy computer architectures without overwhelming the main CPU system host.
