The OMRON C500-AD501 is a high-density industrial analog input module designed to convert real-time analog field signals into digital data for programmable logic controllers. Operating as a high-performance Special I/O Unit, it natively supports 16 differential input points that can be independently configured to process various voltage or current spans. The board features a built-in microprocessor and onboard EEPROM to handle advanced, localized signal processing tasks—such as hardware scaling, digital filtering, mean-value averaging, and high/low limit alarms which significantly minimizes processing burdens on the host CPU.
