The PROFIBUS 1769-DPM is a high-performance Master Communication Module designed to expand the connectivity of Allen-Bradley CompactLogix and MicroLogix 1500 controllers onto a standard PROFIBUS DP network. Operating directly within the local controller chassis, it behaves internally as a standard, high-speed distributed I/O module while fulfilling full DP-V0 and DP-V1 Master protocol requirements according to IEC 61158. It handles real-time input/output process data exchange and cyclical messaging across the controller backplane, allowing plants to integrate third-party slave drives, sensors, and remote manifolds without sacrificing processing speed.
