Product Details

The PROSOFT MVI56-MCM is an in-chassis, single-slot communication module. Functioning as a high-speed gateway directly over the 1756 backplane, the module acts as a virtual input/output slice that makes Modbus data register maps appear locally as standard I/O tags within the controller environment. It eliminates complex networking workarounds by offering programless communication handling, using its independent configuration capabilities to bridge data variables smoothly between field actuators, external PLCs, or SCADA tracking infrastructure.

Backplane Current Load: Draws 800 mA at 5.1 V DC and 3 mA at 24 V DC

Operating Temperature Range: 0°C to +60°C

Storage Temperature Envelope: -40°C to +85°C

Relative Humidity: Supports 5% to 95% RH conditions

Physical Isolation: 500 V optical isolation barrier

Database Constraints: 5,000 registers
