- Rosemount 248 series -

The Rosemount 248 series is a general-purpose temperature transmitter for field and process industries. It supports various sensor inputs, including RTDs (such as Pt100/Pt1000), thermocouples (T/C), millivolts (mV), and resistance (ohms), converting the temperature signals acquired by the sensors into a standard industrial output (4–20mA + digital communication).

This series is available in both head-mount and rail-mount mounting options, and offers a variety of housing/junction box options (aluminum, polymer, stainless steel/SST, etc.) to suit different operating conditions and installation environments. The transmitter output is compatible with the HART protocol (some models also have a wireless version supporting WirelessHART), facilitating integration with DCS/SCADA/control systems. It also supports open/short circuit sensor diagnostics and basic self-calibration functions, possessing excellent electrical isolation (up to several kilovolts) and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) performance, meeting the stable and reliable requirements of industrial environments (including hazardous locations, marine environments, chemical plants, petrochemical plants, power plants, and water treatment plants).

Due to its versatility, stability, ease of installation, and high system compatibility, this series of temperature transmitters is widely used in single-point or distributed temperature measurement applications such as process temperature monitoring, boiler/heat medium systems, chemical reactors, steam systems, and heat exchange systems.
