Schneider Electric has launched the first product of the brand-new "golden four-piece set" for machine motion control - the Harmony ET5 human-machine interface

Schneider Electric, the global leader in industrial technology, will launch a brand-new "golden four-piece set" overall solution for machine motion control this year. This overall solution is an innovative achievement independently developed locally based on Schneider Electric's "China Center" strategy, helping manufacturing enterprises create high-performance and highly reliable machine motion control solutions that better meet local needs. The first product of this series - the brand-new Harmony ET5 human-machine interface - was officially released today. With its wider viewing Angle and software integration upgrade, it provides strong support for the safe and stable operation of industrial production.

The newly launched Harmony ET5 human-machine interface adopts a compact structure design, integrates the new-generation IPS hard screen technology, and integrates the core functions of the Vijeo Designer Basic software. It is widely applicable to applications in industries such as pumps, packaging, and HVAC. With comprehensive optimization at both the hardware and software levels, it can help enterprises achieve efficient and safe production, bringing two innovative values: a clear and thin vision and full control of digital states.

At the hardware level, the human-machine interface of Harmony ET5 integrates the new generation of IPS hard screen technology, and the viewing Angle is expanded to a wider 170°, enabling users to see a clear picture with high contrast from all directions. The entire machine adopts a 34mm ultra-thin body design, with a thickness optimization of 30% to 40%, making it easy to install in various industrial control application environments. The entire product series is equipped with a 100-megabit Ethernet port as standard. Interfaces such as RS485/RS422 and USB have been moved to the bottom to enhance the space utilization inside the cabinet. Meanwhile, the PCBA coating protection endows the touch screen with excellent corrosion resistance, enabling it to adapt to harsh environments such as condensate water and conductive dust.

At the software level, the Harmony ET5 human-machine interface integrates the Vijeo Designer Basic software, supporting the storage, filtering and sorting of data records and alarm records, which is convenient for on-site operators to collect data feedback. Meanwhile, it supports mainstream third-party Ethernet tag communication as well as Chinese tag communication, facilitating rapid product switching. In addition, this touch screen also features SNTP network time synchronization function, bidirectional switching between different resolutions of large and small screens, and automatic adjustment of picture content and other outstanding functions.
