Triconex TCM Series Overview
The TCM (Tricon Communication Module) series is a family of modules within the Triconex Safety Instrumented System (SIS) architecture. Their purpose is to provide communication and integration between the Tricon TMR (Triple Modular Redundancy) controller and external systems such as DCS, PLC, SCADA, HMI, or plant networks.
Tricon Main Processor (TMR CPU) – Handles control and safety logic.
I/O Modules – Interface with field signals (digital/analog inputs & outputs).
TCM Modules – Provide the bridge between the Tricon controller and external monitoring/operating systems.
Without TCMs, a Triconex system would run safely but isolated—no operator stations or DCS connectivity.
