The Xycom XVME-976 is a high-performance, double-high VMEbus-compatible adapter module engineered to provide multi-functional I/O expansion for Xycom's carrier processor boards. Acting as a mechanical and electrical bridging substrate, it connects directly or via transition cards to host VMEbus PC/AT processor cards. The module translates high-speed architecture lines to feed onboard expansion sites, allowing legacy chassis configurations to seamlessly scale their peripheral processing without altering the primary rack real estate.
