The Yokogawa EH1*A is an industrial-grade input isolator card designed to be installed into designated signal conditioner nests within a DCS environment. Its primary purpose is to receive raw, standard voltage signals from the field, filter out electrical background noise, amplify the inputs if necessary, and electrically isolate the field circuits from the inner control system backplane. By managing this signal barrier, the card effectively protects critical control processors from power surges, ground loops, and external interference while maintaining precise data conversion.
