The Yokogawa ER5*B is an industrial-grade signal conditioner card engineered to interface directly with Resistance Temperature Detectors (typically Pt100 RTD elements) across the plant floor. Functioning within a centralized signal conditioner nest, the card processes resistance fluctuations driven by temperature variations, linearizes the raw sensor feedback, and isolates the sensitive backend control system processors from external electrical hazards. By converting native multi-wire RTD signals into highly stable internal voltage standards, it ensures exceptionally accurate thermal tracking in volatile processing grids.
