The Allen-Bradley 1756-M08SE is a high-performance, chassis-based 8-Axis Sercos interface servo motion module. Designed to slide seamlessly into any standard ControlLogix chassis, it acts as a centralized intelligent command link between a Logix5000 controller and multi-axis digital servo drives.Instead of deploying dense networks of individual analog command lines and feedback wiring, the 1756-M08SE utilizes a localized, fiber-optic SERCOS (SErial Real-time COmmunication System) digital ring. This allows a single module to concurrently execute highly synchronized position, velocity, or torque loops for up to 8 real/physical axes (and support system linking configurations for up to 16 drives altogether). This fiber-optic infrastructure entirely isolates control loops from harsh industrial electromagnetic interference (EMI) and enables full axis telemetry diagnostics directly through Studio 5000 software.
