The 1757-FIMRTP is an industrial Remote Termination Panel (RTP) specifically designed to function alongside the 1757-FIM Fieldbus Interface Module. Engineered for secure DIN-rail mounting inside an electrical control enclosure, it serves as the physical, field-ready termination interface for connecting FOUNDATION Fieldbus H1 networks back to the core Logix system architecture.As detailed in the documentation, the 1757-FIM module handles data cache transfers over networks, but its physical connection to the two independent Fieldbus H1 networks must pass directly through this 1757-FIMRTP panel. Crucially, the 1757-FIMRTP features integrated power routing capabilities: it optionally accepts an external 24 Vdc input from a separate power supply. It then safely conditions and distributes this low-level operational power out into the field wiring links, ensuring that downstream fieldbus instruments and smart transmitters receive sufficient, stable electrical power across both independent H1 segments. |
