The 1769-OV32T is a high-density, solid-state digital output expansion module engineered by Rockwell Automation under the Allen-Bradley brand for heavy-duty industrial automation tasks. This module features 32 discrete output channels divided into two isolated groups of 16 channels, allowing it to efficiently switch multiple downstream field actuators, pilot lights, interposing relays, and solenoid valves from a compact physical footprint. Designed with sinking (current-sink) transistor output logic, the module acts as a ground path for connected loads, requiring the external field devices to be wired directly to the positive voltage rail. To maximize system uptime and safeguard sensitive internal microprocessor circuits from high-voltage transient spikes or common-mode electrical noise on the factory floor, the module provides complete galvanic and optical isolation between the logic-side backplane and the user-side field wiring. The module utilizes a rackless, interlocking tongue-and-groove mechanical design with a movable bus connector to form a high-speed internal communication bus with adjacent modules. Additionally, it features front-accessible, logic-side diagnostic LED indicators corresponding to each output point, allowing maintenance personnel to quickly verify circuit status and expedite troubleshooting during commissioning or unexpected machine downtime.
