The ABB SAFT121PAC SAFT 121 PAC is a high-performance Pulse Amplifier Board engineered for demanding industrial environments. Its core function is to amplify low-level pulse signals from sensors or encoders, converting weak control signals into powerful, high-voltage trigger pulses capable of reliably firing medium to high-power thyristors (SCRs) in variable-speed drives, power converters, and other high-power electronic systems. By providing localized signal boosting and electrical line isolation, the module preserves command integrity against severe electromagnetic interference (EMI) typical of heavy factory environments. This ensures clean firing pulses migrate correctly between the master controller and the power thyristor stages without signal dropouts.
