The ABB TC520 is an autonomous, industrial-grade system status collector module engineered to interface directly with the backplane bus of an Advant Controller subrack. It serves as a centralized telemetry hub that dynamically samples operational data from the backplane bus as well as external field inputs wired to its dedicated front-panel connectors. Once collected, the diagnostic information is converted and broadcasted continuously across a transmit-only serial link backplane interface, enabling main CPU modules to read network parameters, execute fault detection, and log performance tracking metrics. Additionally, the module integrates calendar-clock hardware synchronization via an external "minute pulse" input and maintains an isolated hardware relay output mapped to the primary system RUN-signal to alert operators immediately during system-wide logic failures.
