It provides the mechanical structure and electrical interconnect (backplane bus) for all CPU, I/O, and communication modules in the system.The rack features a dedicated slot for the power supply at the leftmost position and nine additional slots for other modules.It includes features like mechanical keying to prevent incorrect module installation and slot sensing for automatic addressing without jumpers or DIP switches.
