The OPTILOGIC OL2109 is a small-form-factor digital input/output device designed to act as an interface for real-world automated control networks. Officially engineered as a low-voltage, discrete electronic switch, it functions by regulating downstream power through specialized transistor circuits. To ensure the safety of the centralized backplane logic, the device features built-in status indicators on its control side, isolating high-power field connections from the broader processing rack. |

ü Output Channels: Equipped with 8 sinking output points ü Logic-Side Card Cage Power Required: 140 mA continuous current ü Voltage Rating: Operates within a standard line range of 0 V DC to 40 V DC ü Peak Voltage Tolerance: Engineered to survive transient voltages up to 80 V DC maximum ü Maximum Continuous Load Current: 300 mA per channel loop ü On-State Voltage Drop: Restricts losses to a low 0.75 V at 100 mA and 0.95 V at 300 mA ü Maximum Wire Gauge: Accepts wiring sizing up to 18 AWG copper field conductors ü Field Conductor Temperature Rating: Attached field cables must meet a mandatory temperature standard of 60 °C or 75 °C |

(1) Sinking Current Driver Systems: Utilized as a specialized NPN open-collector switch to safely pull down field lines, engaging solid-state relays, solenoids, and discrete machine coils.
(2) Status Indicator Arrays: Wired directly to control panel light arrays or field stack-lights to visually mirror system conditions via its status LEDs.
(3) Real-World Process Control Racks: Installed within remote terminal units (RTUs) or industrial PC rack chassis to manage automated conveyor, sorted sorting-bin, and fluid pumping machinery.
