The ORMEC SAC-SW210/E is an advanced axis control expansion module engineered for the ORMEC Orion system to orchestrate high-precision closed-loop servo motion. Running as a dedicated internal co-processor board, it bridges the master control rack directly to digital servo drives using the high-speed proprietary ServoWire protocol. It offloads real-time tasking from the main CPU—such as processing high-density incremental encoder signals, executing sub-millisecond loop updates, and handling external limit-switch interrupts—allowing the main system to maintain deterministic synchronization across multiple axes without software lag.
