The 1757-FFLD2 is a high-performance, industrial-grade network bridge that establishes bi-directional communication between an Ethernet network (EtherNet/IP or HSE - High-Speed Ethernet) and a FOUNDATION Fieldbus H1 network. This device eliminates the need for top-level Logix controllers to directly handle complex fieldbus protocols, allowing them to effortlessly access process variables, device diagnostics, and health status from smart field instruments.Equipped with two independent H1 fieldbus ports, the 1757-FFLD2 can manage two distinct physical network segments simultaneously. Each segment links field transmitters, actuators, and valve positioners back to the control room. By acting as a centralized gateway, this module drastically simplifies control layer architectures, reduces hard-wiring costs, and shortens engineering commissioning times. It is ideally suited for distributed process control environments such as chemical plants, oil and gas refineries, water treatment facilities, and pharmaceutical manufacturing.
