The 1769-IR6 is a high-performance, 6-channel analog temperature input module designed for precision industrial process monitoring. Based on the official technical documentation provided in your image, the module supports any combination of up to six independent temperature or direct resistance sensors simultaneously, digitally converting the analog field inputs into linearized data tables for direct controller utilization. It natively accommodates 2-wire, 3-wire, or 4-wire RTD or direct resistance devices, though for 4-wire sensors, the fourth sense wire is physically attached but remains unused by the module's internal circuitry. To prevent thermal dissipation and limit self-heating errors on small RTD elements, the hardware features two software-selectable, programmable excitation current values of 0.5 mA and 1.0 mA.
