Operating strictly as a "messaging-only" card, it enables standard PC platforms to perform network configuration, continuous device monitoring, and explicit peer-to-peer data transfers. This hardware uses a Universal PCI bus layout, meaning it fits into standard computer expansion slots and autonomously handles network protocol processing to prevent bogged-down performance on the host computer's CPU. On its exterior mounting bracket, it provides dual BNC connections to accommodate redundant media, ensuring stable connection nodes for Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) stations, and engineering programming environments.
