The 1794-IE4X0E2 is a high-density, distributed analog combination module engineered by Allen-Bradley brand. It is a high-utility component within the popular FLEX I/O network system, designed to save valuable panel real estate by condensing separate instrumentation functions into a unified, modular housing. This module provides centralized processors with a precise interface to track and control analog plant variables, making it a foundational tool in industries like water treatment, chemical processing, and thermal management. By offering 4 single-ended analog inputs alongside 2 single-ended analog outputs within a singular physical hardware unit, the module minimizes hardware footprint and avoids the added cost of deploying separate input and output blocks. The card mounts seamlessly onto standard 1794 terminal base units (such as the 1794-TB3 or 1794-TB3S), which keeps the active circuitry safely separated from field connection terminals. It supports Removal and Insertion Under Power (RIUP), allowing maintenance personnel to hot-swap a damaged unit on the fly without disrupting power or communication across the remaining network infrastructure.
