Diagnostics & Protection
For a missing input indication, compare the field voltage at the terminal with the input status and controller image table. Inspect the common conductor, terminal block, wiring and connected device before replacing the module.
Remove power before continuity checks or module removal. Do not bridge isolation or apply low-voltage test signals to the 200/240VAC inputs.

Installation & Upgrades
Confirm catalog number 1746-IM8, chassis compatibility, slot assignment, common wiring and 170–265VAC operating range. Keep high-voltage field wiring separated from low-voltage circuits.
Key and seat the module fully, tighten the removable terminal block, update the project documentation and verify every channel before returning the machine to service.
