The GE IC697CPM790 is a high-performance, single-slot central processing unit (CPU) module for the Series 90-70 PLC platform, designed for Triple Modular Redundancy (TMR) applications. Powered by a 64 MHz 80486DX2 microprocessor with 32-bit floating-point capabilities, it provides 1 Mbyte of battery-backed memory, with up to 512 Kbytes available for user logic and data. The unit establishes deterministic peer-to-peer data synchronization through rack-mounted backplanes via VME C.1 standard formatting, allowing seamless integration into mission-critical safety architectures without sacrificing processing scan times.
